He nods and hums in the right places, and sometimes even listens when the kid is talking about Tubbo or something interesting, but otherwise, it’s like listening to a radio. When that happens, Techno just tunes him out and focuses on his work. He knows there’s no way he gets rid of the kid for the next 2 hours, so he just takes what he can get. His overalls are stained with soil, not blood, and his fur is dirty, but it’s the good kind of dirt - collected from hard work, not killings. Techno just smirks and goes back to farming his carrots.

(He doesn’t mention how Ranboo just acts like an immature child, how Techno fought true kings, those who died in honour or defended until their last breath. He can just ignore him and watch as the kid gets enraged, calling for respect and servitude, head held high. Ranboo is no danger, and Technoblade enjoys it. There’s no need to stir trouble, not when the kid is so useless in actually being a prince. Techno has his opinions on any form of government, monarchy or other, but he stays quiet. He’s spoiled and needy, calling himself a prince of the end, dressing in finery and gold, pretending to be better than everyone else. That’s the thing about Ranboo - he’s spoiled. Granted, Techno is not the most patient man, but he’s not about to go and attack a child just because he’s spoiled. He teleports directly behind Techno, tries to scare him (and almost gets a sword in the stomach for his troubles), annoys him and tries to steal his carrots.

The kid, because he’s only 18 at most, is tall (even taller than Techno which is mildly upsetting), spoiled, and arrogant. Ranboo is his name, and Techno just sighs deeply every time he sees the kid. And yet, he can’t seem to get rid of the Enderian. There’s a lot of people around, in such a small space too, and he stays away from most of them. Techno is not one for socialisation, but he enjoys himself. The Elytrian is nice, if a bit obsessed with power, the Avian is chaotic and a bit stupid, and everyone else just seems fun. He’s here to relax and take his time, maybe build a home, hoard carrots and have fun. Techno enjoys it, because it’s not like he could’ve explained that it has a chunk missing because he went to war and lost it in a vicious fight to the death. They just look sadly at his wounded left ear, don’t ask any questions. His fur finally grows out, aside from the patches where old scars lay - those all can be hidden underneath some clothes, it’s not like anyone will ask. Technoblade doesn’t need anything else to be happy. He has his carrots, his new overalls, he has it all. Granted, it’s not as if there’s too much going on in terms of political intrigue, but he’s still sold on staying away from it all. Maybe in another world, he would still get tangled into one mess or another, thrown in prison, or went to yet another way, but in this one, he’s adamant about staying away from everything.
